Dance first. Decide later.

Oxfordshire, it's time to kiss dating apps goodbye. But, and this is key, this is not one of those incredibly awkward singles events.

This is a high-energy social experience that just happens to be for single people.

No apps.
No awkward standing around wondering who to talk to.
No pressure to “pick someone”.
No getting stuck with the same person all night.

Instead: movement, laughter, rotation, and genuine connection — the way humans have met for centuries.

THE IDEA

Modern dating has become awkward and exhausting.

This night is the opposite.

A ceilidh (traditional social dancing) is perfect for meeting people because:

  • Everyone dances
  • Everyone rotates
  • Everyone interacts
  • No one is singled out
  • No one has to perform or impress

You don’t need to be a good dancer.
You don’t need a partner.
You don’t need a plan.
You just show up — and the structure does the rest.

How the Night Works

1. Arrival & Pre-Dance Mixer (Drinks + Warm-Up) @ 7pm

We’ll start with a relaxed mixer so you can arrive, grab a drink, and ease into the room. Hosts will be around, music will be on, and the vibe will be welcoming — not forced.

2. The Reframe

Before we dance, we’ll set the tone clearly:

  • This is not about pairing up
  • You will dance with lots of people
  • You are not meant to “choose” anyone on the night
  • Chemistry can be explored after the dancing ends during the pub mixer

3. The Ceilidh (The Main Event)

A live caller set to music will guide us through high-energy, beginner-friendly dances with:

  • Frequent partner changes
  • Group dances (not intimate one-on-one slow dances)
  • Constant movement and rotation

You will not get stuck with one person all night.

Everyone dances with everyone over time — naturally and effortlessly.

4. The Afterparty @ a Local Pub

Once the dancing ends, we’ll head to a nearby pub to keep the night flowing. No structure, no expectations — just a chance to relax, chat, and let things unfold organically.

### The Matchmaking

After the event, we handle the awkward bit — not on the night.

Before the event:

Attendees provide a simple profile:

  • A clear photo
  • A short, friendly bio answering a few questions

After the event (1–2 days later):

You’ll receive a private form where you can indicate:

  • Anyone you’d be keen to see again

If interest is mutual, we’ll facilitate the next step — without sharing phone numbers.

Instead of endless messaging, we’ll help arrange a real-world dinner or drink, based on both people’s availability. No texting. Just a chance to reconnect in real life.

No rejection in the room.
No pressure to act fast.
No need to give your phone number to strangers.
Just intentional, human follow-ups.
