Title: {emayili} Advanced Email from R

Abstract:
An email message is a fundamental component of many automation workflows. The message might be anything from a simple alert (Did the job finish or was there an error? How much data was processed? How long did it take?) to a detailed report (with tables and figures).

The {emayili} package was designed to simplify the process of sending email from R. Some of the core features:

- uses modern pipeline syntax;
- content and subject interpolation;
- text and HTML content;
- flexible styling of HTML with CSS;
- robust handling of images in HTML;
- LTR and RTL text;
- works with generic SMTP server; and
- support for Gmail, Sendgrid, Mailgun, Sendinblue and MailerSend.

This talk will look at 3 exciting new features:

- rendering R Markdown straight to email;
- message templates; and
- encrypted messages.

Email may not be as sexy as Slack or Telegram, but it's here to stay. And if you're going to be sending email, it might as well be a pleasant experience. That's why you should be using {emayili}.

Oxford RUG is thrilled to be sponsored by Mango Solutions. Thanks to their generosity, there will be pizza from Franco Manca after the meeting. When RSVPing, please let us know whether you will be staying for pizza (so we get a sense how much pizza to order).
