What we’re about

Welcome to Oxford Zen Walks! We meet to practice walking meditation in nature. Walking meditation is an ancient practice for cultivating mindfulness, inner peace and self-understanding. We walk together in silence and then stick around afterwards for a friendly chat at a local café or pub. Our walks are free-of-charge and open to anyone who is able to walk at a moderate pace for around an hour. You're equally welcome whether you're an experienced meditator or just starting out—guidance is provided for newcomers. You can read more about walking mediation here.
