What we’re about
The group brings together a vibrant international community of people in Oxford. We host regular socials that allow members to connect and network.
Before anything else, we need an authentic profile photo and name, otherwise we are unable to accept your request to join. If your request has been rejected despite a clear photo, it's likely a human error. Please feel free to request again.
On with the rest…
If you are new to the group or even a regular, here are a few thoughts to help you integrate:
- We like to spread joy and a sense of camaraderie and hope everyone leaves feeling enriched from the Meetup experience. It would benefit everyone if you could bring the same positivity to the group.
- The more regularly you attend, the more likely it is to form meaningful bonds over time, even if it may not be that apparent week after week. Stay patient :).
- It does not happen often at all, but if you find a situation or a member's behaviour unacceptable, please flag it to the event host(s) and/or organiser. We assure you that we have a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, prejudice and illegal activities.
- This is a socialising group, but should ideally not be confused with an exclusive singles group. We are here to create a warm and comfortable environment for everyone around. Always being mindful of everyone's potential sensitivities would be nice and could go a long way.
- If you have an idea for an event and/or would like to host one, please DM the organisers. We always look for new ideas and would be happy to hear from you!
- As a member of The Oxford Social, you agree to any photographs of the events that might include you. If you do not wish to be part of them, please let the organiser know before the event.
