Improving code quality with lgtm

Details

Hello Pythonistas,

lgtm (https://lgtm.com/) is one of the newest tools to help developers identify code quality issues in their projects by providing automated code reviews for developers.

Mark Shannon (https://github.com/markshannon), one of the developers working on lgtm, will talk about how lgtm can find bugs in your code without writing tests, how it compares to pylint (https://www.pylint.org/)/pyflakes (https://github.com/PyCQA/pyflakes) and then dive into the static analysis approach lgtm uses with a focus on the specifics of its Python support.

This should be a really interesting dive into the subject of code inspection and both junior and experienced developers should benefit from the concepts and approaches discussed.

We will be finished by 21:00 and will move on to The Lighthouse afterwards.

Hope to see you there!
