Mr Wang has for a long time been my favourite restaurant in Cambridge, and they recently opened a central Oxford branch. So, let's go!

It's got a lot to commend it for vegans and vegetarians, in that you pick your own food off the labelled shelves and then have it cooked in a broth. Top ingredients - lots of kinds of tofu, mushroom, noodle, green veg. Broth wise vegans you will want tomato, vegetarians I think you have a choice between tomato and hot and sour (the spicy sauces are bone broth but there's a separate spice table you can use to fix that).

Given the number of no-shows at recent events I'm not going to book in advance, they mainly take walk-ins anyway, but will aim to meet around 6.30 nearby (Red Lion maybe). If by some misfortune they can't fit us in, we can go to one of the other many local Chinese or Thai restaurants.
