Mr Wang has for a long time been my favourite restaurant in Cambridge, and last year they opened a central Oxford branch. So, let's go!

It's got a lot to commend it for vegans and vegetarians, in that you pick your own food off the labelled shelves and then have it cooked in a broth. Top ingredients - lots of kinds of tofu, mushroom, noodles, green veg. Broth wise you will want tomato, or possibly hot and sour (the answer on this one can vary).

Note that all the food is out on the shelves so if seeing meat and fish ingredients is difficult for you even if you aren't selecting them, this may not be the right venue for you.

Given the number of no-shows at recent events I'm not going to book in advance, they mainly take walk-ins anyway, but will aim to meet around 6.30 nearby (Red Lion maybe). If by some misfortune they can't fit us in, we can go to one of the other many local Chinese or Thai restaurants.
