## Come check out the most popular class in the Oxygen Tango schedule. It's perfect for all levels of dancers who need a flexible class schedule. No partner required and you can start any week. Our unique one-on-one format lets you move through the tango fundamentals at your own pace & attend class as frequently as you like without missing any material. Each class is followed by social dancing with our notoriously friendly dance community.

This is the first class in a 6-part series which will teach you the mysterious language of tango; once you know it, you can dance with any other tango dancer, anywhere in the world. You are welcome to take the first class as drop-in to see if you are interested; then you can sign up for the rest of the series if you want to continue.

We'll learn the foundations of leading & following improvised movements within the social tango structure, as well as a few basic figures, with a focus on fun & connection. Every class is followed by an informal tango party called a practica, with food, drinks, and dancing with the famously friendly Oxygen Tango community. You are welcome to just hang out & watch the dancing, but if you feel ready, we’ll introduce you and pair you with an experienced dancer to try out your first few steps on the dance floor.

No partner required; we encourage rotating partners but it’s also ok if you’d like stick with the person you came with. No special shoes or clothes needed.
