Following our epic summer hike in February, it is time to tackle the Coast Track again—this time in the crisp winter air!

Join us for this classic ~30km through-hike from Bundeena to Otford. This is a Grade 5 (Hard) hike involving steep ascents, sand walking, and long distances. We aim to complete it in about 7-8 hours at a steady pace; high fitness and endurance are essential.

Bonus: If time, tide, and group pace permit, we may also include a detour to check out the famous Figure 8 Pools!

Before you RSVP, please read the details below:

  • Start: 9:00 AM at Bundeena Wharf. (Please catch the 8:30 AM ferry from Cronulla Wharf to arrive on time).
  • Difficulty: Hard due to the long distance, many elevations and stairs, steady pace, and bushwalking tracks.
  • Route: Starting from Bundeena, we will trek south along the stunning coastal cliffs past Marley Beach, Wattamolla, and Curracurrang. We will cross the newly reopened section at Garie Beach and continue past Burning Palms and through the Palm Jungle. If circumstances and tides permit, we might take a detour to visit the Figure 8 Pools before making the final steep ascent to finish our hike at Otford Station.
  • Gratuity: A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs. Carry Cash or ask for PayID.
