A Rome Around Croy, 9 mile C+ circular walk

Join me for a a joint circular walk with the Edinburgh Randoms around The Roman fort and canal of Croy
Maximum 20 walkers.
Please note I have not walked from the station before but know the rest of the walk.
Train from Waverley leaves at around 9.30am
Train from Alloa leaves at 9.20am
Distance 9 miles
Grade C + with short climbs.
Boots and possibly poles recommended

We will walk from the station, past the quarry to follow the paths to Croy fort and Bar Hill Fort. We then follow the canal back to a path that rejoins the quarry path back to the station.
A lunch break will be had and possibly a pre post walk drink at the boathouse near the end of the walk.

This walk will be done at a leisurely moderate pace, and I ask everyone to please stay as a group. Please only sign up if you're happy with this, and ensure your fitness is suitable for this walk.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on short, non-flexible leads when required.
We will start promptly, so please let us know if you're held up or unable to walk by messaging the MU site.
Please only sign up if you are actually planning to go on the walk. If some unforeseen event prevents you from attending, please update your status to 'not going' so others may join in. Thanks
