A great new route for the POSG, from Bridge of Allan taking us around the nearby Glen and exploring the surrounding countryside.

We meet and start the walk from the Bridge crossing the Allan Water in Bridge of Allan. Parking is available on street in the surrounding area but highly recommend car sharing as it can be busy.

After the walk we have reserved places at the Friends of Mine Cafe for 1:30pm

Grade: C +
Length: 6 miles
Ascent: 800 Feet
Pace: Moderate

This walk starts from the centre of Bridge of Allan and heads North on Blairforkie Drive following the river to our left. After a short section of muddy path we exit on to a 1.5 mile section of tarmac with the glen on our left. We then turn left and follow the West side of the glen South. From here we cross the river and head North before returning to Bridge of Allan over Gallowhill.

We'll start walking at 10:00 hrs prompt. Please let us know if you're held up or unable to join us by messaging the event organiser via this Meetup website so we do not delay our walk. Car sharing is friendly and gets people out who might not be able to otherwise ๐Ÿ˜„

Please wear suitable walking footwear for the weather. Walking poles can be useful for the ascents. There are muddy sections on this walk so make sure you are prepared.

We will be stopping for lunch at a convenient point
Dogs are welcome provided they can be put on leads when requested or when conditions required. Please keep your dog under control whilst walking near walkers.
