Why not blow the cobwebs away on this attractive forest and hill walk? Dumyat may be lower than the main Ochils range but it's a very enjoyable walk to the top which overlooks Stirling and the Central Belt; the views of the mountains of the Highland Line are inspiring.

Please note this is an extended 8-mile walk. We will start at 10 am prompt to ensure we make full use of available daylight. Please let us know if you're held up or unable to walk by messaging the MU site

The walk is on well-made paths, quiet country roads and hill tracks. We start at the car park (free) at the base of the Wallace monument, walk through the grounds of Stirling University and on up to the Ochils. Public transport is available to the Wallace Monument CP.

The paths can be muddy in places so please wear suitable footwear for the weather. Please feel free to bring a packed lunch as there are many places we can stop and enjoy the beautiful views.

Dogs are welcome provided they are put on leads when requested or when conditions require. Car sharing is encouraged ๐Ÿ˜

Hill and countryside walking, even at a low level, can pose a danger of personal injury. All participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions, involvement and enjoyment.
Participants are also responsible for ensuring that their walking gear is suitable for the nature of the walk and the prevailing weather conditions (which participants are responsible for checking) and for bringing adequate food and water supplies.
