Grade : B -
Length : 5.5 miles
Ascent : 850ft (260m)

This walk starts from the car park at the RSPB centre at Vane Farm (Loch Leven). There is now a £3 parking fee unless you are a member of the RSPB.
We start by heading up the Sleeping Giant path. At the top of the hill we take a connecting path to get onto the Benarty hill ridge walk. This path should give some stunning views of Loch Leven and the surrounding area. We return along the same route to the RSPB centre. It should be a great day out.

We'll start walking at 10:00 hrs prompt from the RSPB centre car park. Please let us know if you're held up, or unable to join us, by messaging the event organiser via this Meetup website, so that we do not delay our walk.

Please wear suitable walking footwear for winter weather. Walking poles can be useful for the ascents.

There is a significant amount of ascent on this walk so please ensure you have the appropriate fitness required. We will be making frequent stops to ensure we keep the group together.

We will be stopping for lunch at a convenient point.

Dogs are welcome provided they can be put on leads when requested or when conditions required.

Hillwalking can pose a danger of personal injury and all participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions, involvement, and enjoyment. Please make sure you have the appropriate level of fitness required for a Grade B walk.
