The walk starts on the East side of the Moness Gorge, with attractive views of the birks and the Moness waterfall. It then follows the Rob Roy Way across open moorland and up by Craig Hill. From here, observe impressive views North to Schiehallion and Loch Tay. We then rejoin the Rob Roy Way and follow the Urlar Burn back to complete the West side of the Moness Gorge.
The walk follows well-made forestry tracks and woodland paths. There are short steep ascents on wooden steps in the Moness Gorge.
The paths can be muddy in places, so please wear suitable walking footwear for the weather. Walking poles can be useful for the ascents.
We will be stopping for lunch at a convenient point, so bring a wee snack if you tend to get peckish or a bigger one if you like sharing :) Dogs are welcome, provided they can be put on leads when requested or when conditions require.
We will start promptly at 10 am, so please let us know if you're held up or unable to walk by messaging the MU site.
