Halloween - Camp Fear

Family camp weekend for Halloween. Please make sure you read this in it's entirety so that you have an understanding of what is going to take place. Merb and Food Lion are hosting; Boujee is in charge of food sign up as we will be doing community style meals this weekend.

• $15 per person, per day for camping ($30 for the weekend)
• $10 per person for CAMP FEAR - Haunted trail
• Payments can be made via Paypal on the meetup RSVP or through venmo: @Megan-Martino-6 or with Zelle at 704-224-8559
• If you are choosing to just camp one day - please let Merb know in your RSVP. The $40 is for 2 nights of camping PLUS camp fear.
• You cannot camp if you do not pre-pay. We have to give the camp host a full final count for each day by the Wednesday prior to camp.
• Please wear costumes if you can! Family bomb fire after Camp Fear
• Everyone will help cook; clean and do community camp chores (gathering fire wood, etc)

Friday:
Address: 601 Princess Ln, Hiddenite, NC 28636
Arrival: 6:00pm
Dinner: 8:30pm
Activity/Plans: Set camp, family BBQ. Boujee is going to be providing me the Signup Genius link so everyone can sign up for what they will bring; we will provide this asap after she does.

Saturday:
Breakfast: 8:00am
Activity: This will be a more relaxed day. You have free time until dinner; we will provide fall themed activities for you to enjoy or you can go hiking. Merb will be providing hikes at Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area. This will NOT be considered the guided hike for the weekend so it will be free flowing
Lunch: Everyone will cover their own lunches
Dinner: 6:30pm
CAMP FEAR: 8:00pm - wear your costume and lets roam through the haunted trails! We will end with a bonfire!

Sunday:
Breakfast: 9am
Pack up camp
Guided Hike: 10:00am Vertical Mile Challenge to Hollow Rock Loop
3.6 miles

Things to remember:

• Bring good walking shoes, even for CAMP FEAR
• Always bring electrolytes and your water filter/extra water
• You will need camp gear; tent, sleeping bag, etc. If you do not have these items you can ask the group or discord if someone else can share gear or if they have family style tents.
• This event is to build community and build deeper bonds; please do not utilize this as a "place to crash your head" while you are out doing your own thing

I fully realize that this activity involves a risk of personal injury, property damage, or loss of my person or property. I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, and same for persons with whom are in my party, waive and release any claims or rights against P.S. Hikers, all of its owners and coordinators for any and all injury, damages or loss to my person or property incurred during this activity. I also understand that organizers are not required, nor should it be assumed that they are CPR/First Aid/Wilderness Survival Certified and I am responsible for my own personal safety.
