Hollow Rock - Easy/Moderate

Join us for a beautiful adventure along the Hollow Rock Trail in Rocky Face Mountain Recreation Area! This loop is about 3.1 miles with ~700 ft of elevation gain and is typically rated moderate —but we’re redefining that a bit. <3

This will be a slow-paced, supportive hike where we take our time, pause often during climbs, and make space for everyone to feel comfortable and confident. If you are interested in more moderate, hard, or backpacking hikes please reach out to MERB.

No rushing, no pressure—just good people, fresh air, and steady progress.

Along the way, we’ll experience:
• A mix of forest trails and rocky terrain
• Unique granite sections and open rock faces
• Several gorgeous viewpoints overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains

What to expect:
• Frequent breaks during elevation gain
• A relaxed, encouraging group atmosphere
• Time to take photos, hydrate, and enjoy the moment

Good to know:
• Dogs are welcome on leash
• Trail includes some uneven/rocky sections—wear sturdy shoes
• Bring water, snacks, and anything you need to stay comfortable

This hike is perfect if you’ve been wanting to try something “moderate” but prefer a gentler, more intentional pace. We’re here for the experience—not the speed.
