It’s that special time of year when the Rockford Shoals Spider Lillies are in bloom. We will be paddling through the shoals of the Catawba River for an up close view of these rare flowers.

We will meet at 8 to drop the gear at the upper launch, drive down to the lower launch, and take a 1.5 mile nature walk along the banks of the Catawba back to the launch point.

This specific event is BRING YOUR OWN kayak. If you need to rent one please utilize the other event sign up that lists a cost for the rentals.

This river guide will be guided by Pickles and supported by Food Lion and Merb.

Water Access & Take-Out Plan: Launching at upper launch, and taking out at lower launch.
Meet-Up Time: 8:00am, 2051 Park Dr Catawba, SC 29704
Launch Time: 9:30am-10:00am (taking into consideration the small walk prior)
Items to bring: Drinking water - water proof bag/phone case - wear items that you know you will get wet ! This is pickles paddles!

I acknowledge that backpacking and hiking activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to navigation challenges, environmental hazards, and limited access to emergency services. I understand that participation without prior experience in navigation, wilderness travel, or survival skills increases these risks, and I voluntarily assume full responsibility for my participation.
I understand that organizers are not required to be CPR, First Aid, or Wilderness Survival certified, and I am solely responsible for my own safety and preparedness.
I grant permission to P.S. Hikers to capture and use photographs, video, or other media of me during participation for promotional, marketing, and community purposes without compensation.
I understand and agree that all trip registrations and payments are final and non-refundable.
