Bamboo shoots digging

Hi! My family will go bamboo shoots digging, would you like to join us?

Date: Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Time: 9:00~11:00.
Place: Bamboo woods near JR Nozaki station (JR野崎駅）.
★Meeting point: 20 mins walk from JR Nozaki station <= I will send you on the day.
Please make sure that you spare enough time and arrive at the meeting point before 9am so that we can guide you a bit if it's your first time and then we can enter together. If you are later than that time, please enter the woods by yourselves. Please note that the woods only opens once a year, so many people queue up for it, if you are late, it might be difficult to find any bamboo shoots left ^^

It's free of charge to enter the bamboo woods and you can bring home as many bamboo shoots as you can find.
However, you need to bring your own gears.
You will need: suitable outfit and boots/easy shoes to walk in the woods, digging tools (shavels, etc.), newspaper sheets or such to wrap, thick and big bags - enough to carry bamboo shoots home, water bottles, some snacks for your kids, towels and wet towels, and maybe some changes for kids, etc.

Also, please pay attention to your own kids. Let's have a safe and fun time in the bamboo woods.
