Evening Pack Walk Balboa Park

PACK WALK – BALBOA PARK

Anyone up for a Thursday evening pack walk? 6:30 pm start time.

Pack Walk Details:
• This will be a medium paced walk over varied terrain: mostly pavement, but also wood chips, dirt, leaves and grass. Close toe shoes recommended.
• This is a good walk for dogs still learning to behave around distractions.
• Various dog socialization exercises may be integrated into the walk.
• Pack Walk will last about 60 minutes and cover 2 to 3 miles.
• We will begin with a short gathering while our dogs acclimate to each other.

Rules:
• All dogs welcome. All breeds, temperaments, and skill levels.
• You must be able to physically control your dog at all times. (Keep your dog from entering the space of other people or dogs.)
• Equipment (leashes, collars, harnesses, etc) must be in good working condition and properly fitted.
• No nose to nose interactions between dogs. (The goal is for each dog to learn to behave calmly in the presence of other dogs.)
• Leashes must be 6 feet or less. (No retractable leashes.)
• Bring your own water, poop bags, and training treats.
• Your dog must be up to date on vaccines.
• Cancel your RSVP if you cannot attend. If you RSVP and do not attend on two different occasions you will be removed from the group.
• Please actively communicate with one another about each dog’s need for space, especially when first arriving: This means ask before moving closer than six feet to another dog, and it means to speak up if you need more space than that for your dog.

Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability:
By signing up as a member of Pack Walk San Diego and/or attending this event, you and your guests or minors (if applicable) accept that any event involving dogs and/or involving moving through public spaces can be dangerous and fully assume all risks associated with such participation, including travel to and from the event. You agree to be responsible for your own safety, the condition of the equipment you use, and the actions of your dog. You and your successors agree to hold all Organizers of PWSD harmless in the event of injury or death.
