Welcome to Packbasket Adventures!
Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Wanakena, NY.
We are an old-fashioned wilderness lodge and retreat center where outdoor lovers come together to explore the beauty of nature through activities such as meditative walking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, birding or just sitting near the fire.
Unleash your creative side and join us for various types of mindful drawing experiences and guided nature walks. Come for a whole retreat or join us for the day.
Just wanna get away? Grab some friends and book the lodge. The four bedroom lodge boasts an incredible Great Room, Study, riverfront dining space, screened porch and excellent fishing. Scrumptious nutritious meals will be tailored for you!

Packbasket Adventures and Master Mosaic Artist and Teacher Ippy Farnam invite you to join us for a Translucent Mosaic Window Workshop Weekend!
Students will leave inspired, refreshed and with a beautiful creation.
In this introductory workshop for creatives aged 13+, you will explore the ins and outs of glass mosaics as you create a framed decorative glass-on-glass window!
Over the span of the weekend, Ippy will cover:
- what makes a mosaic a mosaic
- tools used in the mosaic process
- design consideration
- glass cutting techniques
- safety basics
- gluing and grouting methods
On Saturday you will learn about techniques and processes while designing and laying out your creation.
After Sunday's nourishing and delicious breakfast, Ippy will demonstrate the grouting process and assist/supervise as you grout your own pieces.
If you are still manifesting your creation on Sunday, no problem! You will receive grouting supplies to finish your piece at home.
