Paddle Board Explorers Starting Their Journey is for anyone curious about standup paddleboarding but hasn't tried it yet, or just picked up a board and want to learn the basics in a supportive group setting. Whether you're wondering what all the fuss is about or you've already got a board collecting dust in your garage, this is the place to figure it out with others who are in the same boat—or should I say, on the same board. We focus on fundamentals: how to stand, balance, paddle technique, and getting comfortable on the water without any pressure or judgment.
Our meetups are pretty relaxed. We'll start on calm, beginner-friendly waters where there's plenty of space to practice without worrying about traffic or currents. I'll share what I've learned over the years, and honestly, we'll all learn from each other too. The goal is to build confidence and have fun while you discover if paddleboarding is your thing. We keep group sizes manageable so everyone gets attention and nobody feels lost.
All you need is openness to trying something new. You don't need your own board to start, and you definitely don't need to be in perfect shape. Just show up with curiosity and a willingness to get a little wet. We've got a nice community developing, and it's great to share this experience with people who are all figuring it out together.
