Slocum River to Buzzards Bay Tour

Join us for a trip down the Slocum River in South Dartmouth, Ma to Buzzards Bay for lunch on the beach at the Demarest Lloyd Reserve.
There is lots to see and enjoy in this beautiful, pristine area. The bird life there this time of year is extraordinary!

We will meet at 11 am at 50 Horseneck Road, South Dartmouth, Ma parking lot and launch by 11:30 am. We will return to the launch spot by 3 pm.

Bring your sea kayak, sit-inside kayak with 2 two bulkheads, PFD, spray skirt, paddle, funny hat, sun screen, water, and dress for water and air temp in the low 50's. Bring lunch, something to sit on, and something warm and dry for lunch hour on the beach.

All participants warrant that they have sea and open water skills at ACA Level 2 and that they have done at least one Assisted Rescue and Wet Exit. We paddle as a Group and take responsibility for ourselves on the water.
