Waquoit Bay & Washburn Island Paddle

Join us for a paddle around Washburn Island and tour Waquoit Bay environs from White's Landing in East Falmouth and use the ramp/put-in. Meet at 10 am, drop off your boat and gear, and park by the Marina. Launch by 10:30 am.
You must have your own sit-inside, sea kayak of at least 14 ft with 2 bulkheads for floatation, fixed deck lines, and a splash deck, cockpit cover, paddle, and Coast Guard approved PFD which you wear at all times on the water. Bring water, sun screen, snacks, lunch and a funny hat.
This is an ACA Level 2 skills event which means you have on-the-water paddling experience exceeding protected water near shore, winds up to 10 kt's, waves up to 1 ft and current of up to 1 kt.
You represent: That you know how to self-rescue, have done one this season, and can assist others in a paddler rescue, That you have paddled this season and can do a "wet exit". We will paddle together and stay together as a group with the Leader/Organizer (No peel-offs)
