Paddle Anacostia River to National Arboretum - RENTALS AVAILABLE

Details
This is one of the few locations we visit where rentals are available. If you sat on the sidelines all last year, THIS is your opportunity to find out what the cool kids have been doing. Reserve a kayak or canoe for the afternoon session here.
We'll shove off from Bladensburg Waterfront Park promptly at 1:00pm to accommodate any renters and head downstream towards the National Arboretum. It will be high tide, so we can either do some exploring around the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens or press on to the Arboretum to see if they have reinstalled the floating dock, allowing us to get out and take a short stroll around the Asian gardens. We will turn around from there and return to Bladensburg.
This is event is suitable for paddleboards, recreational/touring kayaks, and canoes, but not inflatable kayaks. Everyone must WEAR, not just bring a USCG-approved life jacket or PFD. The water is still mighty chilly this early in the season, so please only wear synthetic-fiber clothing (NO COTTON). Bringing a spare change of clothes in a dry bag isn't such a bad idea either.
Please Please Please do not block any of the gangways to the docks with your car as you unload. I know there are enough of us that we could easily take down any rowers that want to start a fight with us, but some of us already have criminal records.
