Paddle Black Hills Park (4 miles) - RENTALS AVAILABLE

Black Hills Regional Park is a beautifully splendid place to go paddling, and one of the few places where you can launch your own craft OR rent equipment! We'll do a 4 mile circuit along the east side of the reservoir (3 miles for the renters) and perhaps see some beavers or otters in the sunken forest.

Those with equipment will hit the water at 10:40 and proceed towards the rental area to pick up the rest of the crew. Anyone renting should reserve their equipment for the 11:00-1:00 time slot. The rental fee should be $30, but the website has not yet been updated for this season.

This event is suitable for all types of kayaks, paddleboards (including iSUPs), and canoes. As always, inflatable "kayaks" and rafts are prohibited in this group. Everyone must WEAR, not just carry, a USCG-approved PFD. That includes you, renters.

Montgomery County Parks charges a $5 fee to use the park. Please bring $5 cash for the honor box or purchase your pass online the day of at their website. Don't be surprised if the website repeatedly crashes and you are unable to complete it.
