Pine Creek: Ross Run to Hamilton Bottom (7 miles)

It looks like everyone but Katie and Norbert will arrive by noon Friday, so let's take a test drive of Pine Creek at the closest put-ins to the campsite.

Anybody who wants to join should empty their vehicle as much as possible and meet me at the Hamilton Bottom Boat Launch at 12:30 on Friday. We will consolidate boats and people into two cars and drive seven miles upstream to the Ross Run Recreation Area. From there it is seven miles back downstream with a very mild current and (supposedly) nothing more challenging than riffles. Afterwards, someone needs to drive two of us back upstream to get our cars.

As with every trip, you must WEAR, not just carry a USCG Type III PFD. The river bottom is very rocky and may require occasionally getting out, so be sure to wear good shoes.
