Floating Concert Series on Back Creek - Short Paddle from Ellen Moyer Park

Several of us had a delightful time at Tuesday's Free Concert Series, so we're doing it again next week. Singer-songwriter Kristi Allen will be performing. This is a less formalized meetup event, but most of us will be launching from Ellen Moyer park at 6:15. Come earlier if you want a better parking spot. There were about 30 kayakers and paddleboarders last week. Even though this will be one of the longest days of the year, you ABSOLUTELY NEED to bring a white light for after sunset and wear your PFD at all times.

Bringing an anchor (like a five pound dumbbell with ten feet of rope) is also a brilliant idea, since the shifting tide will be gently pushing you around if you are untethered.

I saw people with boards from Capital SUP, so you can check with them if they are doing evening rentals for these events.
