Monocacy River Paddle w/ Car Shuttle - Devilbiss to Riverside Park (8 miles)

Details
We usually don't have this much water in August, especially not combined with a warm (but not scorching) Sunday. Paddling one of our favorite lazy rivers is an opportunity that shouldn't be passed up! I'll keep an eye on the river gauge, but I predict that we'll end up sticking with this itinerary:
10:00: Meet at Riverside Park Boat Launch. We will leave as many cars here as possible since there is more parking here than at the put-in. Those drivers will load their boats and gear onto my trailer.
10:20: Everyone hops in a car and we drive our caravan 7 miles north to the ramp under Devilbiss Bridge.
11:00: Launch our boats from Devilbiss Bridge and enjoy several miles of pastoral farmland.
12:15: We'll beach somewhere in the middle to have lunch, probably Mill Island. Bring lunch!
2:15: We'll arrive back at Riverside Park. People whose cars are here can load up their gear. Then, at least two of them have to drive the remaining paddlers back up to their cars at Devilbiss Bridge.
Riverside Park Address:
[1811 Monocacy Blvd, Frederick, MD 21701](1811 Monocacy Blvd, Frederick, MD 21701)
Turn left at the fork, towards the soccer fields.
Devilbliss Bridge Ramp Address:
[8276 Devilbiss Bridge Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788](8276 Devilbiss Bridge Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788)
Look at the satellite view, don't blindly follow your GPS. The ramp is under the west side of the bridge. Or just stick with the caravan.
Here's the details:
This is a mostly flatwater paddle, with a few areas of swift water, but no real rapids to speak of. It is slightly less scenic than the upper stretch as we pass into Frederick, but still delightful overall. The total trip will be just under 8 miles, but will feel like less if there is any the current pushing us.
This is event is suitable for inflatable paddle boards, sit-on-top kayaks, canoes and touring/sea kayaks. Anyone using a recreational kayak should be experienced using their boat in mild currents. Members using fiberglass SUPs and kayaks need to keep an eye out for rocks in a few locations, but should be fine overall. As always, inflatable kayaks and rafts are not allowed. Everyone must WEAR, not just bring a USCG-approved life jacket or PFD.
This is a fairly complicated plan and requires all participants to arrive in the correct places at the correct times. We will leave the takeout promptly at 10:20, so please arrive with plenty of time to transfer your gear and get prepared. We will not wait for latecomers.
