Paddle Patuxent River - Jug Bay

Please join us for a paddle through the tidal marshes and open waters of the Patuxent River Jug Bay wetland sanctuary. Expect to see wildlife including waterfowl, and possibly eagle and beavers.

Please place your kayaks and SUP near the boat ramp but do not block it. There is plenty of parking space on the gravel/grassy area at the end of Croom Road. We will launch from Selbys Landing at Patuxent River Park and paddle up Mataponi Creek. We may also paddle further on the Patuxent River and House Creek for those who like to do some more paddling.

This is event is suitable for paddleboards (hard or inflatable), recreational/touring kayaks, and canoes, but not inflatable kayaks. Everyone must WEAR, not just bring a USCG-approved life jacket or PFD.
