Details
Let's celebrate the winter solstice (shortest day of the year!) by paddling the lovely Skagit River and looking for eagles. This is a class I+ section, about 10 miles long. On last year's December trip here, we counted 85 eagles!
Wetsuit or drysuit is recommended, but not required. Wear layers and be prepared for cold weather.
Helmets are not required.
PFDs and boat flotation ARE required.
This is a good run for lots of types of watercraft, including open canoes, SUPs, kayaks, rafts, and more.
