What we’re about
Aloha! Are you interested in trying the fastest growing water sport in the world? Are you already an avid stand up paddle boarder? Regardless of your skill level, please join us for fun, fitness and adventure on the Intracoastal, local lakes and ocean environments in and around Palm Beach, Martin & Saint Lucie Counties. For those who are new to the sport, we offer Fabulous First Timer meetups where you can learn how to stand up paddle board in a safe, flat water environment with an ACA certified SUP instructor. Don't be fooled by imitators. I've been paddleboarding for 17 years when paddleboarding was just starting to catch on with the locals in Hawaii. This meetup is now 10 years old! I've taught over 6,000 folks to stand up paddleboard during that time. My goal continues to be for my paddlers to have fun on the wate, learn a new skill in a safe environment. We offer paddleboard rentals at very reasonable prices.
We paddle from North Palm Beach County up to Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County. These areas give us lots of opportunities for great paddling. And don't forget paddlesurfing and ocean paddling at any number of locations along the Treasure Coast & South Florids coastlines! Racing and paddleboard yoga meetups round out some of the many experiences you can have on a stand up paddleboard while meeting new friends!
Come paddle and explore the amazing water environments in Palm Beach County through Martin County and into St. Lucie County while becoming more fit and connecting with new friends that share your passion for paddleboarding!
BTW, we appreciate watermen and waterwomen from all of the other paddlesports. If you or a friend wants to join us in a kayak or canoe or one-man outrigger, it's not problem. The most important thing is just getting out there on the water and meeting new like-minded friends! Mahalo (thanks) for checking out our meetup group.

See all- Turtle Nesting Walks through Hobe Sound Nature CenterHobe Sound Nature Center, Hobe Sound, FL
Hey Paddlers,
IT'S SEA TURTLE NESTING SEASON!
If you are a nature lover like me; this should be on your bucket list. I am lucky enough to be a turtle scout volunteer for Hobe Sound Nature Center. What is a turtle scout? Myself and other volunteers go out and look for Loggerhead Sea Turtles at the beach as they come out of the water to lay about 100 eggs in a large chamber which she digs. Once a female starts laying her eggs into the egg chamber that she just dug; the other staff members and I bring you down to watch this a female sea turtle drop her eggs into the egg chamber. Afterwards she will cover up the chamber with sand and head back to the sea. This is amazing to watch. YOU HAVE TO PAY THE EVENT FEE THROUGH THE HOBE SOUND NATURE CENTER. YOU MUST PAY IN ADVANCE. NO EXCEPTIONS. THESE SPOTS GO QUICKLY. BOOK IT NOW THRU THE HOBE SOUND NATURE CENTER. I will be adding the link soon but you can always go to the Hobe Sound Nature Center website and find the Sea Turtle Walk reservation button and pay for your group. Sea turtles have their own schedule BUT this event will run from 8:30pm until Midnight as that is when the sea turtles lay their at eggs (they lay them all night actually). HSNC recommends that participants bring bug spray and water for the turtle walk. We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (i.e., for walking the beach). Although we are typically off the beach by 10:30 p.m., some walks last until midnight. JUST REMEMBER: No lights on the beach during nesting season including cell phones. It spooks the mother turtles and could cause them to lose a whole batch of eggs. There will be a presentation at the Nature Center of what you are going to see after you check in. After the presentation; you will drive down to Hobe Sound Public Beach and wait with the Coordinator until us Turtle Scouts let you know that it's time to come down on the beach and watch the eggs drop into the test as the female is in a trance. It's so cool!!! Got questions? Text me at 561.260.2628 or call the Hobe Sound Nature Center at (772) 546-2067 for more information.
