If you're ready to try stand up paddle boarding but haven't had the opportunity yet, come on out! We'll supply the equipment. You just need to show up with your sense of adventure, have some fun and get a nice workout at the same time! You'll get a detailed lesson given by a certified instructor who has taught over 6,000 people how to paddleboard since 2013. After everyone gets comfortable on the paddleboards, we'll explore the area around Jensen Causeway Kayak Launch with an eco-tour guide who is a certified Florida Master Naturalist.Details

What to Bring:

• Wear water-friendly clothes (avoid cotton T-shirts).
• Bring sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, hat, water, and a snack if you haven't had breakfast.
• Wear watershoes or flip-flops for the gravel by the launch area.
• No bathroom in this parking area. There are restrooms in the nearby parks underneath the Jensen Beach Causeway so give yourself time to stop there or somewhere along the way before you arrive. There are also bathrooms at Jensen Beach but again give yourself extra time; probably 15 or 20 minutes.

We'll be paddling from Beach Rd across the street from Coral Cove Park. You can park on Beach Rd or in Coral Cove Park. We will paddle down to Kato's Bridge and snorkel on the west side of the bridge. Swimming and snorkeling near the bridge pylon on the west side of the Intracoastal but away from boat traffic, you may see fish like snook or jacks deeper in the water column. FAQ - Why don't we do this paddle on the weekend? Because boat traffic is too intense in this area on the weekends. On weekdays, it's fine. You might even see a manatee in this area during the week.

When: Arrive at the listed start time for equipment fitting if renting. If you have an inflatable board, arrive early to inflate it and be ready to go.
Where: Read the 'How to find us' section. Check GPS the night before to know your travel time to the launch location.
What to bring: Usual stuff for FL; Sunscreen, hat, water. Got expensive glasses? Either bring the cheap ones or use a glasses leash. If you're snorkeling, bring fins. The best snorkeling area has a stronger current.
Weather concerns: I check detailed weather forecasts and will cancel by 6am if winds are too strong or there's a high chance of lightning. If the event isn't canceled on Meetup, it will proceed. In case of cancellation, you'll be refunded or can apply payment to the next event. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for no-shows or day-of cancellations. JOIN US FOR A LAID-BACK PADDLING EXPERIENCE AT SUNSET
We'll launch from the PARKING LOT on the Northeast corner of the Jensen Beach Causeway right at the little park where people fish and hang out. Afterwards sunset and we're packed up, we can stop at one of the many nearby bar/restaurants in the area if we want to continue to chat.

Event Details

• Arrival: Be on time to fit your rental equipment. If using an inflatable board, arrive early to inflate and get ready.
• Safety Equipment: Anyone who knows me also knows I'm big on safety. Since the sun is setting; please bring a headlight so you can see AND BE SEEN by boaters. Bring a life jacket if you are bringing your own board.
• Location: Check 'How to find us' the night before and use GPS to plan your route.

Weather & Cancellation

• I check detailed forecasts and will cancel by 6 am if the wind is too strong or thunderstorms are expected. Refunds are available for cancellations done the day before the event. You can also use the payment for a future paddle. (Text 561.260.2628 for refunds). No refunds for no-shows.

Join Us for Paddleboarding & Snorkeling at Peanut Island!
Event Description: Love paddleboarding and snorkeling? Join us for an incredible experience at Peanut Island, Palm Beach County's top spot for underwater adventures! At high tide, the water is crystal clear and teeming with fish. This is also why we are starting earlier today due to the tide which I, of course, have no control over. It's actual the we'll paddle to the east side of the island, enjoy snorkeling, and have a relaxing morning. Bring a snack and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
Who Can Join:

• Experienced paddleboarders only (no first-timers or very inexperienced).
• First-time snorkelers welcome.
• Must handle strong currents and keep up with the group.

What to Bring:

• BYOSF: Bring Your Own Snorkel and Fins.
• Recommended: Fins for strong currents, thin socks for comfort.
• Usual Florida essentials: sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water, snack, watershoes/flip-flops.
• Free parking and restrooms available.

• RSVP required (even with your own board).
• Need to rent a board/paddle/PFD: $30 via Venmo/Zelle, paid in advance.
