Paddle to Dynamite Point from Little Jim's on Ft. Pierce North Causeway

This paddle from the North Causeway Bridge is one of my favorites in St. Lucie County. It’s a fantastic spot to paddle and explore the Real Florida. We'll meet at Little Jim's Bait & Tackle on the North Causeway Bridge and paddle towards Dynamite Point, a historic site where Navy SEALs began their journey during WWII. Park in the upper lot. There’s an outdoor restaurant with weekend music if you’d like to have lunch afterwards.
Who should come? Intermediate or stronger paddlers only; no first-time or infrequent paddlers. For beginners, join our Fabulous First Timer meetups usually on Saturday mornings.
How to secure your spot: RSVP for the event. Renting a paddleboard costs $30 via Venmo (@vivian-caylor) or Zelle (561.260.2628) at least a day in advance. If you have your own board, it's $10 by event day. Questions? Text 561.260.2628.
When: Arrive on time for equipment fitting if renting. If you have an inflatable board, arrive early to inflate it.
Where: Check the "How to find us" section and use GPS the night before to know travel time.
Weather: I monitor detailed weather forecasts and will cancel by 6am if conditions are unsafe. If not cancelled, the event proceeds. Cancellations are refunded or credited for next time. 24-hour rental refund policy applies for no-shows or same-day cancellations. Cancel the day before with a text to 561.260.2628.
