Join Us for Paddleboarding & Snorkeling at Peanut Island!
Parking Location Update: Riviera Beach Marina is now charging for parking. We are all back to parking at Jim Barry Light Harbor Park.
Event Description: Love paddleboarding and snorkeling? Join us for an incredible experience at Peanut Island, Palm Beach County's top spot for underwater adventures! At high tide, the water is crystal clear and teeming with fish. We'll paddle to the east side of the island, enjoy snorkeling, and have a relaxing morning. Bring a snack and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
HOW TO JOIN:

• RSVP: Even if you have your own board, let me know you're coming.
• Have Your Own Board?: If you have your own, it's $10 (Venmo, Zelle, or Cash).
• Rentals: Need a paddleboard? Rent one for $30 (Venmo: @vivian-caylor or Zelle: 5612602628, include event date). Advanced payment is required. Questions? Text 561.260.2628.

WHO CAN JOIN:

• Experienced paddleboarders only (no first-timers or very inexperienced).
• First-time snorkelers welcome.
• Must handle be able to handle strong currents and keep up with the group.

WHAT TO BRING:

• BYOSF: Bring Your Own Snorkel and Fins.
• Recommended: Fins for strong currents, thin socks for comfort.
• Usual Florida essentials: sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water, snack, watershoes/flip-flops.
• Free parking and restrooms available.
• Bring water for sure. Bring a snack if you don't normally eat breakfast or just need a snack when you're doing something physical.

Weather & Cancellation

• I check detailed forecasts and only cancel if necessary (usually by 6 am event day). If I don't cancel the meetup, it's because I feel it will be a good morning to paddle based on the weather forecast just before we get out.
• We do have a 24 hr cancellation rental refund policy for no-shows or those who cancel event day. If you can't make it, please cancel the day before with a text to 561.260.2628 (please not in the meetup comments).
