Paddle For Our Neighbors, Quinebaug River, Brooklyn CT

This event is a fund raiser for Neighbors Against Cancer (NAC). We will not be charging a registration fee, just make a tax-deductible donation to NAC. 100% of the funds raised will go to help local families who are struggling financially to make ends meet while fighting cancer.
Launch time is 10:00 am. Please be there early enough to unload your boat, register and be in your boat at 10:00 am.
You can paddle as far as you wish:
Go all the way to Rogers Corporation - about 8 miles roundtrip
up to Danielson Airport - about 6 miles roundtrip
just go a mile or two - it is up to you
The first 100 people to sign up will receive a free T-shirt. Free hot dogs and burgers to participants when we are done paddling.
You must have your PFD on and fully fastened to participate in this event.
Meet at Riverside Park on Greenway Drive in Brooklyn. From Route 6 go north on Day Street. Greenway Avenue is the first right. Follow it around behind the apartment buildings and past the ball fields to the launch site. Putting this address in your GPS should get you to the apartment buildings: 26 Greenway Drive, Brooklyn CT.
This is a leisurely out and back paddle.
The Quinebaug River runs for almost 60 miles between Brimfield, Massachusetts and Norwich, Connecticut.

Required equipment: PFD, 10-foot length of rope, whistle. Be prepared to give your emergency contact number to the host if he or she asks for it.
