Quinebaug River North from Butts Bridge, Canterbury, CT

Requirements:

• PFD, 10-foot length of rope and whistle and headlamp/flashlight.
• You must have your PFD on and fully fastened to participate in this event.
• Be prepared to give your emergency contact number to the host if he or she asks for it.
• Please be considerate: be on time (in the water and ready to depart!). Cancel on site or call 860-234-9899

Please be early if possible! This section is part of the Quinebaug River Water Trail. We will paddle north from Butts Bridge toward Robert Manship Park, turning back down-river after approximately 1.2 hours so as to arrive back at Butts Bridge launch site before dark.
Launch: By Butts Bridge, 82 Butts Bridge Road, (Rt. 668), Canterbury CT (41.649933, -71.970370) About 800 feet east of the bridge is a turn south onto an unpaved access road adjacent to the power lines. Follow that road 1,000 feet to the water's edge. Plenty of parking.
