Mystic Harbor Put in at Williams Beach/Mystic YMCA

• You must have your PFD on and fully fastened to participate in this event.
• Event start time is in your boat, in the water, and ready to paddle!

We will launch from Williams Beach at the Mystic YMCA. Large parking lot and Beach access are found in back of YMCA building.
Putting 1 Harry Austin Drive, Mystic, CT into your GPS will get you there.
We will paddle up river at slack tide, under bridges, to Mystic Seaport and return. Be mindful of boat traffic on the river; stay well to the right and in single file through the narrow spots. All kayak lengths suitable for this trip.
Required equipment:

• PFD on and fully fastened at all times.
• Headlamp and stern white light for paddles ending after dark and on navigable waters such as the Lower Pawcatuck, Mystic, Thames and Connecticut Rivers.
• At least 10' of rope
• Whistle
• Bilge pump

BRING:

• change of dry clothes in a dry bag
• bilge pump
• wear appropriate clothing for the water temperature, not the air temperature.

Feel free to to alert your paddle host to any medical conditions you have that might suddenly impair your ability to continue.
Be considerate: be on time (in the water and ready to depart!) and cancel if you aren't able to come.
