Mashapaug Pond, Union

Meet at 12:00 p.m. at the boat launch in Bigelow Hollow State Park, 285 Bigelow Hollow Road (Rt. 171), Union. This will be a moderate paced paddle with one or two loops of about 4 miles each. Please note that we are paddling Mashapaug Pond the 287-acre body of water about 1 mile north of the main entrance, NOT the 25-acre Bigelow Pond located by the entrance.
Paddlers must provide their own boat and equipment. Per club policy, a life jacket must be worn for the trip duration. Rain cancels. Any weather-related changes will be published via an update to the notice by 8 a.m. the morning of the trip: don’t let advance forecasts scare you away — they are frequently wrong.
