Get in touch with your inner Goddess with Dina by learning the basics of the sensual, ancient art form of Belly dance. This dance form originated in the temple dances and folk dances of the Middle East and Asia thousands of years ago and remains a wonderful way to invoke the Divine Feminine. You will learn earthy, powerful, joyous movements that become your own personal ritual of transformation. Shimmy your way into manifesting the natural energies around you and within you... step into your power, and learn to love your body... and have fun while doing it!
This workshop is beginner level and open to all ages, shapes, and sizes. No previous experience is necessary. Recommended for adults only (18+) Wear comfortable workout clothes and tie a scarf around your hips to accent their movements. $20 per person

About your teacher: Dina LeDuke has been performing, choreographing, and teaching the art of Belly dance for over twenty years. She has run her own dance studio since 2008, and has performed at theatres, concert halls, and festivals all across the Northeastern US. She is a classically trained dancer from the age of 6 in the genres of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern Lyrical Dance, and was a founding member of the Repertory Dance Theatre at Salem State University. She has extensive training in the styles of Cabaret, Tribal, Fusion, Folkloric, and Theatrical Belly dance; and she is a percussionist with the Middle Eastern fusion band Ensemble Davuli. She has been an ordained priestess of the Craft since 2011, and seeks to integrate her Magick with music and dance as much as possible!
