Details
It's the last Page to Screen of 2025! Let's round out the first year of this club with a good old fashioned psychological thriller from one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and the book from one of America's most prolific authors of crime and suspense. For December we'll be discussing Cape Fear (1991) directed by Martin Scorsese and the book of the same name (fka The Executioners) written by John D. MacDonald.
Though our discussion will focus on the 1991 Scorsese remake, if you have time over the holidays, treat yourself to the original film adaptation from 1962 starring Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck. It's worth a watch and extra credit points will be awarded.
Cape Fear (1991) film is available to rent on most VOD platforms.
Cape Fear (1957) book, can be found in physical and digital formats wherever you find books (Amazon, your local library, your local bookstore, Kindle, etc...).
