For February's Page to Screen I've selected All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque and the film of the same name from 2022 directed by Edward Berger.

The book is considered by many to be the greatest war novel of all time. An instant smash hit (over 2.5 million copies sold in its first 18 months in print), it was much derided in Nazi Germany getting banned and often burned so it MUST be good!

The film is beautiful and a rare instance where I prefer the more recent remake to the original. If you have time, give the 1930 film a watch, it's definitely worth viewing but we'll be focusing our discussion on the 2022 German film by Edward Berger which was nominated for nine Oscars a couple of years back and took home four...NBD.

All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) film is available to stream for free on Netflix.
All Quiet on the Western Front (1929) book, can be found in physical and digital formats wherever you find books (Amazon, your local library, your local bookstore, Kindle, etc...).
