Hike to Crater Lake

This is my favorite hike in the area. It is 8 miles round trip and is rated as difficult due to the length as well as the elevation gain coming back up the mountain. We will first hike up 708' and will have amazing top of the world mountain views and then the trail descends 1353' to the lake. Starting elevation is approximately 11,500' and tops out at 12,150'. This trail also merges with the Continental Divide Trail. The lake itself is gorgeous and is flanked by cliff like walls. Let's plan on meeting at Tractor Supply at 7:00am and then carpool from there. Bring lots of water, lunch/snacks, a raincoat and water shoes.
