MECH WARZ - Autococker versus Pump

It’s been a few months since we had an event posted up so here goes one that looks REALLY fun for some folks that may be nostalgic for some vintage paintball action.

Our friends from the SoCal Stock group are hosting what looks to be an amazing event at Hollywood Sports Park on Saturday June 11th. This one is Autocockers VS Pumps so only Autocockers or Pump Guns. Feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about that. These are usually vintage guns with the exception of newly made Autocockers from the likes of Empire, Shocktech, Freeflow and some of those on the flyer here like Angry who do some amazing custom guns. Else, any pump style paintball gun like Snipers/CCM, MVP, Nelson based pumps etc. I’ll post some pics. We have folks in this group that would likely loan out a gun if you don’t have an Autococker or Pump so maybe post in the comments if you’re looking to borrow something. Some of these vendors will be at this event and may have some guns to try out as well.

Their flyer says “Bring Your Own Paint” which is nice as well as Hollywood Sports is usually a field paint only field except when they do recon Friday’s on Friday Nights but I haven’t seen them advertising those since the pandemic.

If you haven’t been to Hollywood Sports Park, it’s a pretty unique field with some amazing props from movies you might recognize like Star Ship Troopers and Waterworld among others. The fields are close to lots of shaded picnic benches and there are also lockers available if you bring your own lock.

I usually have a looking tool box I chain up to a picnic table and pit out of there.

They do have food available and there is a great taco place across the street as well as a 711, liquor store, and fast food available near by. They also have actual restrooms and not just ports potties which is also nice.

You can fill out a waiver digitally online that’s then tied to your phone number and I think if you do that it’s then good for like a year. That will speed your check in progress.
