Painting City Hall Park

SUMMER EVENTS BEGIN AT 10 TO BEAT THE HEAT!

City Hall Park has a variety of compositions for the cityscape painter, with the imposing municipal buildings contrasting against the park's bountiful vegetation and the surrounding buildings giving their own contrasts of old and new in the background.

We'll meet in the circle at the southwest tip of the park, on the opposite side of the Tweed Courthouse. Check in with me so I know who's attending, and then we'll disperse to our individual painting spots. At 1pm, we'll meet back up to show off our art and discuss the day.

Gather your materials (watercolor, oils, gouache, acrylics, marker, all are welcome) and join with other artists for the joys and challenges of painting outside!

Be aware of the heat when painting outside and come prepared for sun and humidity!
