SUMMER EVENTS BEGIN AT 10 TO BEAT THE HEAT!

If you're interested in painting dense urbanism in NYC, you might head to Times Square. But what if you want a little Times Square-lite, a stepping stone to the utter madness that is 42nd and Broadway? Well, you might head downtown slightly to Herald Square instead!

We'll meet at the foot of the James Gordon Bennett monument, which is in the northern triangle park, between 34th and 35th. If the statue doesn't look like the picture above, you're in Greeley Square, which is the southern triangle park, so head to the other one! Check in with me so I know who's attending, and then we'll disperse to our individual painting spots. At 1pm, we'll meet back up to show off our art and discuss the day.

Gather your materials (watercolor, oils, gouache, acrylics, marker, all are welcome) and join with other artists for the joys and challenges of painting outside!

Please be aware of the heat when painting outside and come prepared for sun and humidity.
