There's a lot going on around this intersection! Obviously, there's the literally electric facade of the GE Building, an early Deco masterpiece with a profusion of lightning bolt motifs. Across the street is the Romanesque Hotel Benjamin with its loud 1990s vertical marquee, down the block towards Park is the stately Saint Bartholomew's Church, and the Waldorf Astoria is even right there!

Our meeting point will be at the southwest corner of the intersection of Lexington and 51st, directly under the GE clock. Check in with me on-site so I know who's attending, and then we'll disperse to our individual painting spots. At 2pm, we'll meet back up to show off our art and discuss the day. Depending on the crowds this intersection may not be a good place for show and tell, so look for messages if that location has to change.

Gather your materials (watercolor, oils, gouache, acrylics, marker, all are welcome) and join with other artists for the joys and challenges of painting outside!
