Despite the perception of the Financial District as being all soulless glass towers, hidden between them are areas of older buildings as well, especially clustered around the Stone Street Historic District. Most are not the original buildings of New Amsterdam, but the street layout certainly is, as the road names of "Pearl" "Beaver" and "Water" attest to.

Our meeting point will be the Queen Elizabeth II Garden, just down the block from the Delmonico's building and across from the northeast entry to Stone Street. Check in with me on-site so I know who's attending, and then we'll disperse to our individual painting spots. At 2pm, we'll meet back up to show off our art and discuss the day.

Gather your materials (watercolor, oils, gouache, acrylics, marker: all are welcome) and join with other artists for the joys and challenges of painting outside!
