Brooklyn's Broadway: Williamsburgh Savings Bank
Details
Outer Borough Interlude time, because Queens and Brooklyn ALSO have a Broadway!
This weekend's Broadway location is in Brooklyn, just south of the Williamsburg Bridge. The Williamsburgh Savings Bank may be an event space now, but it was built in the late 1800s to the highest ideals of classicism and commerce. The dome on top was built to be reminiscent of the Capitol in DC and St. Peter's in the Vatican!
Our meeting point will be at the corner of Broadway and Driggs in front of the building at 10am. Check in with me on-site so I know who's attending, and then we'll disperse to our individual painting spots. At 1pm, we'll meet back up to show off our art and discuss the day.
Gather your materials (watercolor, oils, gouache, acrylics, marker: all are welcome) and join with other artists for the joys and challenges of painting outside!
