What we’re about
At Painting With Friends we are all about making new connections, trying your hand at new creative activities in a pressure-free, relaxed and friendly. All sessions are run by me, Katie. I'm a professional illustrator and art educator who's been living in Madrid for 10 years.
I'm passionate about building our creative community and allowing everyone to share in the joy of doing art, no matter the level, all we ask for is an open mind and the willingness to give it a try. At Sketch&Social we meet and draw at cultural and artistic spaces around Madrid, every week is a new location! Our painting workshops are based in Retiro and our art studio in barrio Salamanca district. Materials are always included.

All materials are provided/ including use of new materials and material swap with other members of the group. I will provide reference material- a focus on artifacts found in the museum, as well as prompts/activities to help people get to know each other in the group.
Just bring your wonderful self and an open-ness to sketch and try something new as well as meet new people and discover new places in the city. After the session we'll go to a local cafeteria for a coffee and continue chatting and talking about our sketching.
We are a judgment free zone and welcome beginners and creative people of all levels of ability. Come with a friend or alone and leave with new ones! We'll see you there :)3 attendees
