palinQA talks: Security Awareness
Details
Security concerns everyone, yet bringing awareness about information security to a wider audience can be challenging. This time two experts from Nokia show us how we can make security more compelling to everyone.

Security and Communication -- Two deadly enemies for life?
There is a strange contradiction between security and talking about it. If you find a security problem, sometimes it is more “secure” not to tell about it, sometimes it is such a complex problem that people in charge do not understand the severity. In this talk I am trying to go around this problem and show you examples about communication mistakes and also propose some methods to lessen the barrier between technical and not so technical people.
Zsolt Schmidt (https://www.linkedin.com/in/zsolt-schmidt-0761289a/)
(Security Engineer at Nokia)
3rd party patch management - Why? How?
Secure coding principles are important, but what if the security issue is coming from a library you downloaded from the internet months ago?
I'm going to explain why you should keep an eye on the libraries you are using and propose a solution that could be used to detect vulnerabilities.
