Dakini Day Practice at PBDC
Details
Dakini Day Practice
at Palm Beach Dharma Center in Lake Worth Beach
Tuesday, January 13th
@ 4:00 - 6:30 pm
Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche
will lead the Dakini Day practice in-person.
Dakini Day, observed on the 25th day of the lunar month, is a day of celebration in Tibetan Buddhism that honors the enlightened feminine energy embodied by dakinis. Dakinis, called “sky dancers” in Tibetan, represent wisdom, compassion, and transformative power. These enlightened beings guide practitioners on their spiritual journey, helping them overcome ignorance and cultivate insight.
Please bring your vegetarian offering early to be placed on the tsok table.
“Dakinis are dancers of the illusory magical display. They enact the connections that awaken us to our nature. They are not ordinary individuals limited to certain capabilities and stuck with one identity. They are totally free in their movements, possess infinite skillful means and are accessible everywhere.
When we need them and call, the teachings say the dakinis are very active and respond immediately, coming forward to offer help, support, and enlightened energy. Both externally and inwardly, the dakinis are very dynamic and unbound in their movements.”
